Here are three different statements, on their surface quite distinct, but which I’ve put alongside one another because each one says something important, and complementary, about the nature of the “Self”:
These days I'm all about getting beyond duality altogether, not shifting vantage points, getting past them, beyond concepts of time and space, self and other. I've had near death experiences, Astral projections, prophetic dreams, spiritual awakenings, yadda, yadda, yadda, I want to simply be "cosmic consciousness" or whatever you want to call it, without the labels, because it's the labels that keep us here, pinned like specimens of dead butterflies, or fixed in place like a stamp collection. We can talk about it until the cows come home, but there is talking and there is being.
💖 Shelly Trimmer! So when you hear about life reviews of near death experiencers, they always talk about multiple perspectives...some even say they feel they are the background of the scene - the sky, the sun, the road. Shelly was way ahead of his time. Thanks for this!

Not mutually exclusive, imo.

You reminded me of something I posted quite a while ago that touches on that - I'll see if I can find it.
I found it, and decided to incorporate it into the bottom of the post itself - so thanks for the stimulation, Julie!
