Thanks, Ray, this resonated with me, and your thoughts around Neptune/IC were spot on for me personally in several ways! Just wondered what orb you would normally consider in range and if, in respect to conjunctions in particular, you include planets out of the angles sign?
Thanks, Linda. As for orbs, I'm a bit unconventional regarding that - i.e. while I place special emphasis on planets that are within 4 or 5 degrees of an angle, I've also come to consider bodies that well beyond that, especially if it's by itself and there are no other planets anywhere else in the horoscope near an angle.
Thanks for that...interesting. I have Saturn on my ASC 1 degree off from the 12th house. And in Virgo. A difficult birth (usually with that indicator) and people always see me as calm even when I'm not. Healing and teaching...but also a writer of poetry and novels. Someone said Virgo was literature which I'd never heard before. And Saturn is trine Jupiter cusp of the 5th and in the 5th, relocated to SC Upstate. I have two Centaurs on angles. Chariklo 2 degrees from the 3rd house...I wrote and article in a group endeavor with Melanie Reinhart about chiron's wife and her influence on our cuture and individual transformations. Her prophetess daughter Okyrhoe is two degrees off the Descendent and in the 7th house. That one isn't as clear to me. But she may have been warning me about partners and I didn't listen...ignoring red flags. That's her myth...telling the unwelcome truth until the gods turned her into a full horse figure so no one could understand her.
Thanks. I've not worked much at all with the "lesser" bodies on the angles, but not because I don't think they're important, just because I don't feel I understand them well enough.
Great posting… never understood what the glyph was that sat exactly on my ascendant until the trans-neptunians were being delineated. I have Eris on my rising, exactly. Always feel the outsider role and a bit of a secret instigator, often unconscious to that trait
This was a very clarifying read, especially the way you frame the angles as manifestation points rather than just emphasis. Have you found this approach holds equally across different house systems, or does it depend on sticking to one framework?
Really appreciate this! I’ve got Saturn in Aquarius conjunct my Dsc in Pisces, squaring Pluto in Scorpio conjunct my IC (tight orbs all around). Don’t think I’ve ever appreciated just how much this contributes to my relationships being so difficult/intense. I usually blamed my Cancer Mars… which trines that IC conjunction 🥲

That makes sense, and more intuitive rather than rigid - something I sometimes have to remember to allow myself to be!

Thanks for the feedback, Julie - that's very interesting about Eris.
