Thank you Ray. This is such a great article! I have both Jupiter and Uranus on my MC on the world axis and spent 38 years in the aviation industry travelling all over the world. Jupiter is the ruler of my Sag ascendant. I'm also an "out of bounds" maverick astrologer with a very unique frequency-based approach, that isn't understood by the mainstream yet (Mercury/Black Moon squaring Jupiter/Uranus/MC).
I've done horoscopes for a number of pilots and flight attendants over the years - a considerable percentage of those had Uranus as the highest planet. (And as I point out in the footnotes toward the end there, Steve McQueen's father was a stunt pilot for a barnstorming flying circus).
Super interesting, Ray! I really learned a lot from your post and am now going to pick apart my chart and MC. (with Neptune as highest planet, in Libra conjunction MC). Thanks a million!!
I found this fascinating, Ray. I have a 26 Aries MC with 22 Aries Chiron and 0 Taurus Venus. I also have 0 Aries Jupiter and 29 Pisces sun, so you have given me new 'food for thought'. Especially in light of the upcoming Saturn/Neptune conjunction. Thank you.
Congrats on having some of the most magical degrees in the Sabian symbols then! 29° Pisces is my MC and is one of my FAVORITE transformative degrees of the Sabian symbols!!
Definitely the MC. (It's one of the reasons I'm not fond of certain house systems - where the MC can be somewhere far off from the 10th cusp.) For the purposes of my article, the MC is what you want to focus on.
What does it mean if the MC is at the top? I have Saturn at the top conjunct the MC.m (9th house). I was figuring out when to incorporate my new business which comes from years of health suffering from Saturn. What I have selected has the MC at the top.
I thought that was the question asked by Susan above. In my chart Saturn is slightly higher than the MC. In this business chart the MC is at the top of the 10th house. Then Mars would be next highest in 10 th. So I was asking if the MC at the top has a different color or emphasis than a planet.

Excellent, now I can shed my fear of being an impostor when calling myself a writer.
My most elevated planet is Mercury.

I don't know anything about sabian symbols but I'll take it!
I have a Stellium in 10h but my MC is in 12h conjuct Mars. Which is the top of the chart? My MC or the planet closest to the 10h cusp? Thanks 🙏🏻

Sorry, but I don't understand your question? (What does it mean if the MC is at the top?) The MC *is* the top, as it were.

Really enjoyed and appreciated this - and your Substack generally. Thank you for all you are sharing.
Uranus is the closest planet to my MC. I discovered Astrology in 2020 and have been a keen student ever since.
Agree.
