A Few Predictions About 2026

A number of my colleagues are making their predictions about the coming months. I’ve been thinking about this recently and will venture a few thoughts of my own.

First of all, the big energy happening this year is, of course, the Saturn - Neptune conjunction. The last time that one happened was in late 1989, right around the fall of the Berlin Wall. Although this energy has an influence of at least a year on either side, it will technically be exact this February, so it’s possible we could see dramatic expressions of that combo right around that time (possibly even around Feb. 20th). The fact it’s Neptune that Saturn is aligning with implies that this conjunction could involve such areas as religion, spirituality, oil, the ocean - and, more negatively, matters of deception and disillusionment. But it’s important to understand this energy is neither all all positive or all negative. (Interestingly, when the Berlin Wall fell, it was a euphoric time for some, and a great disillusionment for others!). Having said all that, here are few specific possibilities:

* Because Neptune relates, at least partly, to religion and spirituality, the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune could signal a major shift or even crisis involving a religious movement or group, perhaps like we’re seeing now in Iran, but it could also involve the Roman Catholic Church and/or the Pope. In any event, I’d pay special attention to the last two weeks of February as a major turning point in that regard - again, possibly even right around Feb. 20th.

* I have a strong feeling that this Saturn-Neptune energy could usher in one or more important archaeological discoveries, especially in that period from mid-February to early March - and quite possibly right around Feb. 20th. Why archaeology? Because Saturn crystalizes and brings things into manifestation, whereas distant Neptune (like Pluto) relates to what is otherwise “hidden” and/or stems from the distant past. Could this be when things finally start happening vis-a-vis current developments on the Giza Plateau, or elsewhere?

And since Neptune relates to the ocean, it’s possible we could see major developments involving the ocean during that same latter half of February, including important scientific or archaeological discoveries underwater - or, on the less positive side, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Saturn-Neptune conjunction indicated some maritime or ecological disaster happening during that same Feb. 15 to 25th time-frame as well.

* Following on the heels of suggestions from the late astrologer Andre’ Barbault about Saturn-Neptune conjunctions and Russian history, I believe the period between Feb. 15 to 25 could produce a major shake-up in Russian politics, possibly even as a result of Putin’s health, or some turning point in the Ukraine war. (Remember - the fall of the Berlin Wall occurred during the last Saturn-Neptune conjunction, but that was only one of many critical points in the long span of Russian history corresponding to Saturn-Neptune aspects.)

* The fact that the Saturn-Neptune energy is happening specifically in Aries frankly does concern me a bit, since it could point to an outbreak of both domestic unrest and international conflicts above and beyond the norm. As above, I’d probably focus most closely on those last two weeks of February as a key point to watch.

* Finally, along very different (but still Neptunian) lines - Donald Trump’s progressed Solar Arc Neptune will be opposing his natal Sun in mid-December of this year (this, after having already conjuncted the lunar end of his natal Moon-Sun opposition, in March of 2025). I wrote a couple of years ago about this planetary complex, and suggested this Neptune/Sun energy could specifically portend congestive heart failure for him (Neptune = fluids, the Sun = heart) - and it looks like things could well be heading in that direction. He’s been slowly deteriorating under the influence of this progressed Neptune, both physically and mentally, and now I get the feeling he’s basically just circling the drain. As a result, I think it’s entirely possible he could expire from this worsening condition in November or December - quite possibly between Dec. 10th and 20th. (Or perhaps just a point of serious illness and hospitalization?)

But along a parallel track: the fact that this also happens to be the same general time-frame as the mid-term elections must surely be significant. What does that mean? Hard aspects from Neptune to one’s natal Sun generally indicate problems around one’s reputation and sense of authority. (btw I can’t help wonder if his disillusionment over not getting a Nobel Peace Prize isn’t partly related to this, since this progression is already well in effect.) It’s entirely possible this Neptune energy points to some big-time deception or misdirection he’ll be involved with around the election - perhaps including efforts to sabotage the elections and spread lies. (One hardly needs to be Nostradamus to predict that, of course!) But the Neptune energy may instead suggest a major disillusionment/disappointment on his part over mid-term election losses. In any event, the middle of December is the key point to watch, imo.

These are just a few possibilities of what this year could bring.
